Can we be more complacent in America? I am so frustrated after reading about a beautiful Millard County Sheriff’s Officer Josie Greathouse Fox that was killed by a previously deported illegal immigrant. I truly believe that we are falling asleep at the wheel in America. This piece of crap illegal immigrant has criminal history beginning all the way back in 1992. He was also convicted and sentenced in 1997 for up to 15 years however he was released and placed on parole in 1998. Does anyone else find this astonishing? Sentencing of up to 15 years and served approximately 1 year. What is wrong with this picture? Again, let me remind you he is an illegal immigrant. I have no problem with immigrants. My family is full of them, however they were all legal. Apply for citizenship, go through the process and become a citizen for God’s sake. Here’s a clue, if people are here illegally and we allow it, why would they find any reason to comply with the rest of our laws?
Mr. Roman, the piece of crap that selfishly and needlessly killed Officer Greathouse Fox, was arrested and convicted of two felony crimes and let me remind you Mr. Roman was illegal, which is a crime in itself but he somehow managed to get paroled. The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole spokesman Jim Hatch told us all that he successfully completed his parole. How successful can an illegal immigrant be? Is this a problem with the system or what? I can’t imagine that he was truly supervised the way he should have been, oh, that’s right, he shouldn’t have been supervised. He should have been in jail, rotting his life away. Home of the free, land of the brave? Here’s a clue, the criminals shouldn’t be the ones that are free, and the brave shouldn’t have to die unnecessarily.
Why anyone would you think that someone who commits crimes dating all the way back to 1992 would be worthy of being paroled is beyond me. Why someone who has been deported previously was allowed to live in America freely is also beyond comprehension. It’s just shameful. Truly shameful!
This is just another reminder of the need to close our borders. Until we can stop the illegal flow from Mexico to the United States things will just get worse. Our economy will be in trouble and crime will be rampant. Go America! You make me proud. Not!

American Health Care...Stupid is, Stupid does
Why is it that the American Government can’t mandate health insurance for those who visit the United States on vacation? I know that this insurance is available for travelers, but it’s not mandatory. If the Government is looking for ways to make money, there is one sure way to get. Tax the foreigners coming in, or make them buy mandatory American insurance. We can call it the, “You want to visit America tax.” Or even “American Mandatory Insurance.” Or maybe, just “America’s Luxury Tax.”. Because that is what it is to be able to visit America, a luxury.
Did you know that of the 60 million people that visit the United States each year, most are not screened for Tuberculosis before they get here? We wonder why we are in the hole when it comes to our medical care and we have to borrow money from China; Poor management and poor decision making. The President in his infinite wisdom thinks that American’s should be forced into accepting his Health Care Bill but, we will let ailing foreigners in our country to make us sick. This sounds a little backwards to me. Ill foreigners, equals ill Americans. We seem to create a lot of our own problems here in America.
In 2007 alone, 82 percent of the identified TB cases were from foreign born patients, according to the Center for Disease Control. So why do we continue to screw ourselves in America. Americans are afforded freedom because they are just that, Americans. Foreigners are just that, foreigners, if they don’t like our restrictions, don’t come here. Can we not control what comes in and out of our own country?
I find it disheartening that Florida taxpayers have to pay an estimated 500,000 for an individual that’s not even a United States citizen to treat his lethal strain of Tuberculosis. This drug resistant strain has never been seen in the United States. That is until we allowed it to come here for a visit. I wonder how many people he incidentally infected in the process. I’m all for helping those in need and clearly this gentleman was in need, but we allowed it. Maybe Congress should take a reduction in pay and foot the bill for his medical care since they had the means to stop it and didn't. If it's predictable it's preventable. Isn't that how that saying goes?
The Center for Disease Control lists what is required for visiting other countries. Even though Yellow Fever is not a disease risk in China, if you are visiting China from countries where yellow fever is present, you are required to present proof of yellow fever vaccination. The United States only recommends that you are up to date with your vaccinations. Again, what the hell are we thinking? We recommend, we don’t insist. We want to be the leader of the world; well we need to start acting accordingly.

US Terror Plot Attempted Bombing
It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant we have become as a nation. It is incomprehensible to me that TSA won’t allow me to carry a small bottle of liquid makeup remover on a plane however; we will transport a known terrorist around the world on an International flight. Tell me, who do you think is the bigger threat?
How about this? You’re a terrorist, you don’t fly. Period. There, that was simple wasn’t it? So we might inconvenience a terrorist and make him find another means of travel, gee that’s just too bad. When did we become so soft that we don’t want to offend anyone, namely terrorists?
Are we serious? Our Government actually said they didn’t have enough information to revoke his Visa to the United States? That’s a really lame excuse for someone not doing their job if you ask me. Do we have enough to revoke it now?
How accommodating do we need to be? I can’t believe Judge Borman asked Abdulmutallab if he pronounced his last name correctly. Are we kidding here, how about we call him what he is? A terrorist. Who cares if we pronounce his name right? Maybe the Judge could help Abdulmutallab arrange his holiday flight for next year, since he wants to be so accommodating. What is the world coming to?
When are we going to wake up? When a father finds his son’s behavior radical enough to advise the government that he might be a problem maybe we should consider this a concern too. This should have raised a red flag, don’t you think? But no, we don’t prevent incidents like these. We react to them by instituting a new rule, no standing on the plane an hour before landing. Yes, limiting when you can stand up on a plane, that’ll stop those terrorists. Who are they trying to kid? Does an incendiary device not blow up in a seat as well as the aisle? Does it truly matter if you are standing or sitting?
The Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment database maintained by the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center contains some 550,000 names of terrorists but none of these people are prohibited from boarding an inbound flight to the United States. So, that means that one by one or even a whole plane full of these suspected or known terrorists are welcome to come to the United States anytime they want. What are we thinking? Should we greet them at the airport when they arrive? How about some welcome gift baskets filled with grenades, incendiary devices, flak jackets? We want them to feel comfortable and welcome don’t we?
Wake up America. Like George W. Bush said, “ Any government that supports, protects or harbors terrorists is complicit in the murder of the innocent and equally guilty of terrorist crimes.”
They might be terrorists, but we are becoming their accomplices.
